Our Biggest News

OK, it’s update time. I’m not sure if it’s been long enough yet, but I figured hey, what the heck, I’ll throw a post up anyway. We’ve probably had enough happen in the last four months since the last post for me to be able to write something.

So in order not to spoil you, dear reader, and in order not to wear myself out, I’ve set this website up to release a new post every week for the next couple of weeks, each post covering something different that’s been going on. So expect regular weekly posts for a little while, until I run out of pictures or motivation.

So to kick off this series, I’ll give you the biggest news in our lives for the last half-year or so: I hope this isn’t the first any of you have heard of this, but we are pregnant! We are expecting the arrival of a little girl on September 10th. We’ve been to the doctor several times and even have pictures of her to publish! For the first time on the internet, I give you Katherine Grace Miller:

Her name is probably going to be Katherine Grace, but we won’t know for sure until we meet her.

For those of you who are like me and have trouble making anything out on one of these ultrasound pictures, the picture above is a side view of her head and torso. Here’s what to look for: the melon just to the left of center at the top of the picture is her head. You can make out her face - her nose and mouth are the bumps on top of the melon, right at the center of the picture.

Most of the time when we talk about her, we call her Katie. In the picture above, you can see her leg. (A side view again.)

This last picture is a view of the bottom of Katie’s little feets. (Hope I didn’t just make any English majors out there cringe, Faith…) Katie’s quite the active little baby at four-and-a-half months. She kicks and moves and rolls around quite a lot, especially when she’s hungry.

Hope this meager little update will tide the demanding masses over until next week… In the meantime, let us know what you think of the pictures!
