This weekend, we traveled to Pensacola to be a part of a musical concert by one of my best friends in the world, Lee Farrar Bailey. For those of you who don’t know Lee, I’d strongly recommend checking his music out!

We arrived in Pensacola late Friday night, and pretty much went straight to bed.

This was the view greeting us from the window of our hotel room in the morning. Nice room! (The folks arranging the concert had tried to get us rooms on the beach, but all the beach hotels were booked because of a…err…rainbow-themed event going on at Pensacola beach. I think I’m glad we were where we were.)

Saturday morning and early afternoon we rehearsed and sound-checked in the venue, Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church.

Sarah helped out with the administration of the concert and worked one of the merchandise tables.

Sunday morning, we did the offeratory for all three services in our host church. Pictured here is Lee, accompanied by yours truly (Chad Miller) and Mr. Barry Hause, an amazing and accomplished classical guitarist.

After church, we checked out of the hotel and had the opportunity to take it easy for a little while at Lee’s In-Laws’ house before the afternoon concert.

Immediately after the concert, we left for Jackson, and made it home just after midnight, tired but happy!
