This weekend, I finally got the vast majority of my belongings and furniture moved from my apartment to the house. My parents and my buddy Jason came to help, and I think I completely exhausted them! Of course, it didn’t help that the temperature was pushing 100 degrees (~37 C).

I rented a UHaul, one of those 14-footers, and it still took two loads to get all the furniture from my apartment and from my parents’ house. But now I am all moved in, and officially living in the new house!

This is the bedroom! It was originally a back porch or sunroom, and the friends we bought the house from used it as a TV room. However, it’s much bigger than any of the actual bedrooms, and it has doors that adjoin the half-bath and the kitchen. Not pictured here (to the right) is the sliding glass door onto the back patio. I still need to get some curtains or something to cover it when we need to.

Here is the Kitchen with (some) furniture. We’re hoping to maybe put some kind of a small island in the big empty space, because there is not much counter workspace. You can clearly see the black-and-white checkerboard tile floor and the zebra-stripe wallpaper behind the counter, but it’s difficult to see the white countertop with pastel boomerang-outline print, and it’s hard to see the chrome trim on the countertop. Also not pictured here are the oversized double bifold doors into the combined pantry/laundry closet.

Sorry, but these are all the photos I have at the moment. Next time, look for photos of the outside of the house, in addition to pictures of the living room and my office.
